The Company undertakes activities from exploration, excavation, processing to marketing of nickel ore, ferronickel, gold, silver, bauxite and iron sands. The Company's subsidiaries which are engaged in the mining exploration and investment industry include PT Antam Resourcindo, Antam Finance Limited, Antam Europe B.V and PT Borneo Edo International. The Company is headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Pendapatan ANTM 1H08 turun 10% YoY dari Rp. 5,96 triliun menjadi Rp. 5,34 triliun, akibat turunnya harga rata-rata jual ferronikel selama 1H08 sebanyak 30% YoY dari US$ 17,93/pon menjadi US$ 12,55/pon serta harga jual bijih nikel turun 21% menjadi US$ 64/Mt.
