COMPANY DESCRIPTION
PT. Aneka Tambang Tbk is a state-owned diversified mineral mining and metals enterprise established in 1968, which currently holds 75 mining concessions with a total mining area of 3,6 million hectares. The Company is engaged in the mining of natural deposits, manufacturing, trading, transportation, and other related activities. The Company undertakes activities from exploration, excavation, processing to marketing of nickel ore, ferronickel, gold, silver, bauxite and iron sands. The Company's subsidiaries which are engaged in the mining exploration and investment industry include PT Antam Resourcindo, Antam Finance Limited, Antam Europe B.V and PT Borneo Edo International. The Company is headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia.
ANTM: Akuisisi 9,36 % Freeport
ANTM berencana mengakuisisi 9,36 % saham PT. Freeport Indonesia milik Indocopper Investama senilai US$ 1 miliar, tidak menutup kemungkinan juga akan mengakuisisi Indocopper Investama. Saat ini, perseroan tengah mengkaji rencana ini dengan menteri keuangan namun belum sampai nilai akuisisi.

ANTM: Direksi Herald Lepas Saham ke Antam
Direksi Herald beramai-ramai menjual saham mereka kepada Tango sehingga kepemilikan ANTM atas Herald naik dari 11 % menjadi 19,29 %. Sementara itu BUMI memiliki sekitar 19,9 % saham Herald.

ANTM: Incar 25% Saham Martabe
Setelah melakukan pembelian 10 % saham Oxiana Resources Ltd pada proyek Martabe senilai US$ 66,5 juta, ANTM akan melanjutkan lagi akuisisinya secara bertahap untuk mencapai 25 % saham yaitu 10 % pada akhir FY09 dan 5 % saham tambahan jika Oxiana mampu mencapai produksi tahunan sebesar 9 ton emas. Nilai total akuisisi mencapai US$ 166,25 juta atau Rp. 1,54 triliun.

ANTM: Beli 10% Oxiana US$ 66,5 juta
ANTM melalui Oxiana Ltd, perusahaan tambang di Australia, telah membeli 10 % saham di pertambangan emas dan perak Martabe, Sumut senilai US$ 66,5 juta dan berniat menambah 5 % saham lagi di Martabe. Saat ini, proyek Martabe memproduksi 300.000 ounces emas dengan cadangan emas 6 juta ounces dan 60 juta ounces perak dengan masa produksi selama 9 tahun.
